This is a wonderful little campground located just east of Casper on the North Platte River very close to the interstate. There are many nice & wide pull through sites with just enough room to park your tow vehicle in front of the trailer. My site had a small picnic table on artificial turf on the patio area. The roads and pads are gravel and easy to navigate. There was a nice playground area for the kids and the bathhouses, which I didn't use, seemed nice. My favorite feature was the riverside walk area which was great for walking my dog Barron. The grassy area along the river was shaded with benches to relax. I paid $57 per night for 2 nights which is upper end reasonable to me for a nice, well maintained RV park.

I booked 2 nights at A. B. Camping RV park to explore Cheyenne and Laramie WY. This park was very basic with sparse amenities. The park is close to the interstate and well positioned to see Cheyenne with little time. The spots were pretty tight but manageable. There was one serious problem though. I noticed a little water on my floor in the bathroom and went outside to turn the water off. I noticed my water hose was swollen to nearly twice the size. I installed my pressure regulator and the pressure was over 100 PSI. The next morning I noticed several RVs had water leaking badly into the road so I wasn't alone. I kept the pressure regulator installed for the remainder of my stay and kept the water OFF most of the time and had to buy a new water hose. I paid $58 per night for my stay which I felt was way overpriced for this park.

Devils Tower, Wyoming
Belle Fourche Campground

Devils Tower National Monument was established by President Theodore Roosevelt and was the nations first national monument. Devils Tower Stands 867 feet above the trees and is considered sacred by Northern Plains Indians. I spent two nights at the no hookups Belle Fourche Campground inside the park. This is not an issue with my setup but if you need power and water, there is a KOA just feet from the park entrance gate. Belle Fourche was a pleasant surprise with wide open spaces, loaded with trees, and walking trails. The staff and fellow campers were all very nice and best of all, it's only $10 per night. I stayed in loop A site 11. There is a bathhouse here which I did not use. The campground is at the foot of the tower and the visitors center with access to the tower is just a 2 mile drive away. Devils Tower & Belle Fourche Campground is a great way to spend a couple of days. Website

Peter D's RV Park
Sheridan, Wyoming

I spent 4 nights at Peter D's RV Park in Sheridan Wyoming to relax a little after my first 1,800 miles. The park is really well designed with all sites being pull-through. Peter and his wife are very nice and Peter took every opportunity to play with Barron. There is a Laundry Room and Bath House facilities which I did not use. We did use the large off-leash Dog Park on-site every day. The park is very convenient to the center of town with many specialty restaurants close by and all the usual fast food joints on the main drag. The Walmart Super Center is massive and only 2.6 miles from Peter D's RV Park. At $50 per night this was a great place to land for 4 night and I will surly stay here again! Website
