The 1017 site Thousand Trails Orlando RV is within a 15 or 20 minute drive to all the local attractions. The park has many sections that have obviously been there for years yet have been well maintained. Section D is heavily wooded and perfect for those looking for that type of camping while other sections, including the 167 New RV Sites and the 91 sites currently under construction, have wonderful, level, and large modern concrete pads. There are also many cabins for rent. The public areas are extensive and mostly modern including swimming pool, shuffleboard, fitness center, laundry facilities, playground, pickleball, mini golf, horseshoes, dog park, community fire pit, basketball, and restrooms. I stayed in the new section with the new concrete pad sites.

I only stayed here for four nights so that I could move within the Thousand Trails/Encore system without taking the 7 nights out of the system. Some day I will stay here for 14 nights because it's just that nice. This park is very dog friendly with vast areas to walk. I wish there were a few more dog stations scattered about to dispose of bags. The RV park is on the edge of a wildlife preserve so there are plenty of signs warning people and pets to stay away from the lakes and retention ponds due to alligators and snakes. There is no shortage of restaurants and shopping in the immediate area but be aware that a U turn is required to travel south on Hwy 27 when exiting the resort.

I traveled to the North entrance of the Canaveral National Seashore on May 5th to purchase an America the Beautiful National Park Pass so that I could go to Playalinda Beach to watch the May 6th predawn Space X Falcon 9 launch. Unfortunately the National Park doesn't open until 6 AM so I had to view the 5:42 AM launch from the Titusville Bridge. Uggg... While it was great and well worth the effort, with the distance and time of day, it did not translate well to video. I've included a still shot here from that video. The day trip to the North side of the National Seashore just south of New Smyrna Beach was great with beautiful beaches and preserved wildlife areas.
