I'm headed West again this fall. I left central Alabama on Sep. 16th trying to limit my travel days between 300 and 400 miles per day. Mid September in the middle of the country is still too hot to boondock so I did book full hookup sites along the way. The initial blog for this trip will detail those campgrounds.
Tom Sawyer's RV Park a pleasant surprise. Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, sites were mixed between gravel and concrete and all seemed level. I tested both Verizon hotspot and Starlink, both performed well. The park is very large and could accommodate many more site but the large open green fields are fantastic. Along with the river there are 2 fishing ponds on the property. There are also several tree houses along the river bank with clear climb at your own risk signage. The campground is just a couple of miles from the I55 and I40 connections. I paid $42 for the night after a $5.00 Good Sam Discount.

This was my first time using a Love's RV Hookup. Although it's a little pricey considering the amenities, the conveniences
on a travel day is fantastic. Upon arrival you can activate your full hookup site with a single I'm Here - Check Me In
button.
I didn't need to setup my Starlink because the provided WiFi was adequate for streaming. It's important to note this is not a
space in the Travel Center parking lot but much more like an adjacent campground with a gate and an entrance code. The facility
is directly off I40, easy off, easy on. I paid $38 for the night after a $3.00 Good Sam Discount.

Much like Vian, Love's RV Hookup Amarillo was just off I40, easy off, easy on and perfect for quick overnight. There is a really good dog
park here and the provided WiFi was adequate for streaming. Upon arrival you can activate your full hookup site with a single I'm Here -

button. There was one glaring pitfall that will keep me from staying here again. These are electric and water only. There is
a dump station operated by the travel center BUT the cost is $10 to dump whether you already paid $46 for the night or you're just passing
through. I asked! I paid $41.70 for the night after a $4.30 Good Sam Discount.

Sky City is a Casino with a really nice RV Park on the property. The Pull Through sites are large and full hookup. There is a beautiful view of Mount Taylor over the rear of the campground. In general the entire area is very picturesque. I didn't use the casino but they do offer a free shuttle service to and from the RV Park. With a nightly rate of $22, I imagine the weekly/monthly rates are quite reasonable which would explain a number of long term guest here. The Starlink reception was fast and I would definitely stay here again. I paid $25 for the night after tax.
