Holiday Palms RV Park
Quartzsite Arizona

I encountered triple digit temperatures during my first 7 of 13 days in Mesa so I decided not to boondock in Quartzsite this time. I was able to book a week at Holiday Palms RV Park on a weekly rate which worked out to be about $35 per night plus tax with my Good Sam discount. My arrival in Quartzsite was 3 weeks earlier this year than last and the town was much less crowded and quite a bit warmer. Mental note firmly planted. Holiday Palms is nice compared to most everything else in town and I really have no complaints. I was surprised how fast Starlink is with my potential deprioritization Roam account. Despite the large number of RVers in the area I didn't see many Starlink dishes. The park does have cable TV which allowed me to watch the World Series during my stay. Last year, Blog 13, an Over the Air TV search returned Zero channels. The park did have a free Truck / Car washing station which I gratefully used after six weeks in the desert. There is a very functional coin operated laundry room and treated drinking water is only $1 for 5 gallons. For the price I found my stay in Quartzsite better this year at Holiday Palms rather than boondocking in the low desert. High desert and/or forested areas are more my taste in boondocking.

Phoenix Metro, AZ

I visited 5 more Encore resorts in Mesa and Apache Junction so that I would know more about them prior to returning to The Valley of the Sun. I visited 3 in Apache Junction and 2 others in Mesa.

Meridian RV Resort, in Apache Junction, is a rare RV-only Encore resort with no Park Models at all. I will defiantly stay here someday.
Monte Vista in Mesa is spectacular with endless amenities, updated and fresh looking, and Number One on my must stay Phoenix Metro list.
Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort in Mesa has a lot of park models but there is ample space for traveling RVs.
Countryside Encore RV Resort
Golden Sun RV Resort    Both of these resorts are in Apache Junction and are mostly park models. There are better options for traveling RVs.
