One of the most unique features of The Villages is its four distinct town squares, each with its own theme, personality, and schedule of daily entertainment.
The theme of Lake Sumter Landing Market Square is that of a charming seaside village featuring a lake, a lighthouse, a boardwalk, shopping, and waterfront dining. There is live music every night in the large center square. Boutiques shops and restaurants line the square creating a welcoming gathering place. The Lake Sumter website boast 18 restaurants currently including Cody's Original Roadhouse, Lighthouse Point Bar & Grille, VKI Japanese Restaurant, and Thai Ruby. Neighborhoods near the square include Village of Mallory Square, Village of Amelia, Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter, and Village of Gilchrist. Having only a short time in each of the town squares, first impression has me leaning toward Lake Sumter Landing Market Square being my favorite.

The newest addition to The Villages, Sawgrass Grove combines modern amenities with a laid-back vibe. It houses the Southern Oaks Championship Golf Course, McGrady's Pub, and the open-air Ezell Recreation Center. The vibe here is contemporary and social, ideal for gathering with friends, trying new foods, or enjoying a concert. Sawgrass Grove has free nightly entertainment 365 days a year with live music on the Boxcar Stage. This square has the least number of amenities of the four perhaps due to it being the newest town square and it is incomplete. Still, it is a very nice place to be.

I booked 4 nights at Three Flags RV Campground, a Thousand Trails property in Wildwood Fl just 3 miles west of The Villages Brownwood Paddock Town Square.
This is my second time here. Three Flags is a perfect location to explore The Villages and blog on the 4 town squares. The campground is a beautiful piece
of property and very well maintained grass and sand sites. Many Thousand Trails campgrounds are light on amenities and Three Flags is typical of this reality
but all of the essentials are here and this is a great place to stay for a few days. There is no cable TV and my antenna booster loaded a fair set of channels.
Check-In was great and the office specifically asked if I needed a Starlink accessible site and assigned me a site that worked well for Starlink. Solid place to
stay and I would definitely stay at Three Flags again.

I booked 1 night at the Love's Hookup in Valdosta, GA to break my trip to central Florida into two days. This is a really nice site that is fully autonomous from the on-line booking to clicking the check-in button on the conformation email when you arrive. That process will turn on the electrical pedestal. This is my 4th stay at a Love's Hookup and my only complaint is this time it was over $50 with a Good Sam discount. They are just about to price themselves out of my market for an overnight gas station stop. Just sayin...
